Match Report
Looe Town Veterans 6-4 Grampound Veterans

Cornwall Sunday Cup
Grampound started shakily and conceded early on within a few minutes when a powerful shot went in from the underside of the bar. The team were finding it difficult to keep the ball and three defensively awful goals saw them 4-0 down after under 30 minutes. A couple of good Grampound attacks seemed to add some confidence and Jules Woodman reduced the arrears from close range after the home goalkeeper had parried a goalbound shot. Half time score : 4-1
Grampound were much more effective in the second half and showed good spirit and better control to add three more goals, two Ben Taylor efforts, both where he calmly picked his spot from about 15 yards, and an excellent lob from distance by Alex Makepeace. Unfortunately Looe scored a couple as well although one was possible only after a most blatant shove in the back of Dayle Gilbert. However, the performnce in the last hour of the match restored some team pride.
