Match Report
St Blazey 3rds 3-2 Grampound 3rds

St Piran League
Grampound were very poor in the opening half, defending and attacking both contained too many errors and invited the home side to attack by conceding easy possession far too often. It was hard to remember too many proper passes in those 45 minutes. The home side ended the half leading 3-0, a deseved lead for what seemed like a diffent side containing a number of players from a higher placed St Blazey team.
Soon after the break, an innoccuous comment to the referee regarding his decision making saw Kevin Mitchell sin-binned and soon after Callum Hennessy was shown a red card for something similar. Grampound were spurred on by the bizarre refereeing (too many strange or incorrect decisions to mention) and began to loook a little bit more like their old selves, even with a depleted lineup containing a number of new players and down to 10 men. Reegan Mellors managed to pull a goal back with a good low finish following a corner and with 15 minutes left Ryan Morcom wriggled past several defenders before sliding the ball home from 10 yards to make the scoeline 3-2. A few half chances presented themselves but Grampound could not quite find the necessary equaliser but could at least be pleased with the positive disply in the second half.
