Grampound dominated throughout and the scoreline should have been much more in Grampound's favour but the team simply could not find the net as often as their dominance deserved. After intense pressure for half an hour, a Glyn Ford header eventually found its way into the net but minutes later the home side equalised with a well-taken goal with only their fifth excursion into the Grampound penalty area.
The second half followed a similar pattern and Grampound goalkeeper Richard Budge did not touch the ball in the whole of the 45 minutes. Goals eventually came from Richard Martin's long shot, Jody Allen's flick from a low cross and Glyn Ford's second when he fired a loose ball home from 10 yards after it had ricocheted around in the goal area.
